As the seasons change so do the lives of Erie DAWN participants. What better way to symbolize Erie DAWN’s commitment to 20 years of helping the women in the community by describing the change through the seasons.
Guests are invited to walk through this themed event to learn about the seasons of change Erie DAWN creates within every participant. Winter will be the starting season, symbolizing how participants enter the program in a frozen state of homelessness, bankruptcy, addiction, & loneliness. Erie DAWN recognizes that life is hidden under the frozen surface and works towards nurturing each woman back to health in the spring season. In the warmth of the summer season, the women bask in new mentor relationships, a safe and affordable apartment and newly acquired skills to maximize personal growth. These three seasons have created the fall harvest allowing each woman to spread her wings and fly the nest of Erie DAWN.
